Something From The Weekend

This past weekend as the weather cheered up a bit, the husband and I decided to take a walk along the canal. This walk is becoming quite a regular for us, we decided to go in the opposite direction this time heading towards the centre of our village .

There are some truly stunning gardens that are alongside the canal, I am so jealous of the people that live in these houses!

When we got home, we discovered that our cat has found a new hiding place...the tree! I do wonder about him sometimes??

My polka dot dress I'm glad to say is finished, but I'm not gonna be able to get photos of it up until Sunday as my husband/photographer is away for a couple of days.

But instead I thought I'd share some photos taken last weekend on a walk along the canal that runs near our housing estate.

Where I've been

As you may have noticed I've been a little absent from this blog recently! After getting married at the beginning of October, going on a near 3 week honeymoon, and then moving to Surrey, I've had a lot going on recently!

We're now living in a village about 40 mins from the capital in a cute 2 bed house. 

The spare room is slowing being turned into my sewing room, which is really exciting!

As we don't know the area particularly well we've been going on little walks and on one of these we've discovered a canal that runs parallel from near our housing estate to the centre of the village. 

Can't wait to see what else we can find!

I've started sewing a new dress from the 1987 Vogue pattern I was going to use for the 'Sew Grateful' challenge, which I'll post about soon. In the meantime, enjoy a few photos from the past few weeks in our new home.....

Back to Normality... For Now!

I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted!

As you can imagine I've been pretty busy the past month!

We had an amazing wedding day, and a fantastic honeymoon. I absolutely loved the States, especially Hawaii & San Francisco. The next few posts I'll share some photos of our time there, but for now here are a few images showing what we've been up to since landing back in England. Enjoy!
