Back to Normality... For Now!

I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted!

As you can imagine I've been pretty busy the past month!

We had an amazing wedding day, and a fantastic honeymoon. I absolutely loved the States, especially Hawaii & San Francisco. The next few posts I'll share some photos of our time there, but for now here are a few images showing what we've been up to since landing back in England. Enjoy!

Halloween spent in a couple of our local haunts.

Last but not least, finding a new home which will be ours in December, which means leaving Portsmouth.

A new beginning

I'M MARRIED!!!!

After almost 5 years together, and just over 2 years of planning we're finally man & wife!

It's true what they say however cliche it sounds, it was a truly magical day & most definitely the best day of my life.

The official photos are on their way to us so for now all I'm sharing is the above.

And as of Monday morning I will once again be MIA from my blogger duties as I will be enjoying everything Hawaii has to offer!

With that said, I am however itching to get back on my sewing machine & I have many projects lined up, including my halloween costume for this year.

Old Hollywood Inspiration Pt.4 Barbara Stanwyck

Barbara Stanwyck is a relatively new actress to me, after purchasing a film noir boxset and watching 'Double Idemnity' I instantly warmed to her. I found myself glued to the screen when she was in a scene, which goes to prove why she is a highly regarded actress.

She was also one of the most beloved by her peers and directors alike due to her compassion and genuine interest in their well being.

She was married  twice, but after her second marriage failed due to infidelity on his part (with Lana Turner) she never remarried, although she did have a 4 year affair with a young Robert Wagner.

After her film career ended, she went on to have a successful career on television appearing in various dramas and soap operas until her death in 1990.
